A weekend program facilitated by visiting senior Shambhala teacher Geoff Crinean including individual and group meditation instruction, Shambhala teachings, group discussion and a concluding reception.
Please note that Level 2 Shambhala Training is a prerequisite for this program.
The program will explore stepping outside of our old habits and reactions, our "cocoon" to discover a larger vision, the first step beyond mindfulness towards awareness. We discover we can enter this world in a sane and gentle way rather than from the aggression and separateness of “me”. By having the daring to be true and genuine and by being willing to experience the sharp edges of reality we can be free from the bondage of poverty mentality or need for the protection of arrogance.
We will explore our habitual tendencies and take the first steps toward developing the fearlessness needed to experience our life without relying on the cocoon of past habits. Beginning to engage the world directly, we extend this attitude of fearlessness to all of our activities. Along this journey we continue to develop genuine confidence, humor and personal dignity.
